Spicy Review – Tabasco Original Red

Living in a household full of testosterone most of my meals must satisfy cravings and taste buds of three hungry men.

Two of them live for spicy food and the youngest one is getting trained so one of the main staples in our pantry is ALWAYS TABASCO® Original Red
Few years ago I used to buy Tabasco Original Red in a regular bottle, but as the boys were growing up and developing love for spicy food our small bottle was replaced by the biggest size we can possibly buy.Spicy Review – Tabasco Original Red

Honestly, crises in our house mean that we are out of Tabasco sauce.

My family puts Tabasco Original red on pretty much everything. They put it in their soup especially my homemade chicken noodle . They put it their chili and stews. On top of burgers and even eggs.

Recently they started putting it on their pepperoni pizza and spicy tacos (as if that needs more heat).

I am not a big spicy food eater, but I do love a little kick on my plate now and then.

I tried many hot sauces over the years. Each of them adds a certain flavor to the food, but Tabasco Original Red does not. It enhances flavor of your food without adding additional flavor. It’s almost like it gives a little shock or a wake up call to your taste buds so you can truly enjoy your meal.

Super Bowl is right around the corner and I imagine my living room will be filled with screaming men and boys devouring lots of spicy food. The guest of honor will be Tabasco Original Red sauce and they will be putting in on everything.

Of course I will be in charge of the refreshments so this year I decided to get some ideas from Tabasco Game-Day Party Menu

If you are looking for a great ideas and recipes to spice up your Super Bowl party check them out.

I am off to buy another jumbo bottle of Tabasco Original Red to prevent crises in my house, but before I go…

Did You Know?

Original Red was the first sauce introduced by the McIlhenny family back in 1868 and continues to be their most popular sauce of 6 total sauces?

TABASCO® Original Red is made of simple combination of salt, red pepper, and vinegar and is perfected in a 3-year aging process that produces a hot sauce with the uncanny ability to bring the most out of your food?

More Marketers Using Social Media As A Marketing Tool

According to the Pew Internet & American Life Project, 59% of American Internet users say they use at least one (1) social networking site (SNS). And apparently marketers are taking note as more and more companies, both here and abroad, are using social media to acquire new customers.

Everyone knows social media with Facebook, Twitter and YouTube leading the way, have become a part of our lives, for better or worse. I surely don’t need to start throwing numbers around. You know the facts, you’ve seen the numbers, you’ve heard the buzz… social media is here to stay and marketers are taking notice… as you will see from the chart below

As per the article in e Marketer… A survey conducted by Regus, an office services firm, revealed that on average 47% of businesses worldwide successfully used social networks for customer acquisition in 2011, which was an average increase of 17.5% over 2010. In the US, the increase was even greater as businesses saw an increase of nearly 23% over 2010.

The other interesting finding that came out of the survey was the fact that in developed countries/markets such as the US, China, Japan and the UK, social networking sites had a significant impact on customer acquisitions as companies that used SNS saw an increase in revenue over the previous year when compared to those companies that did NOT utilize social media marketing.

Of course it all comes down to what a given company/advertiser wants out of social media marketing.

Do they just want a presence?

Do they also want to use it as a revenue-generating tool?

What are the goals of the company when it comes to social media marketing?

As I’ve said a thousand times, and will keep saying until I die, social media marketing when used in conjunction with other marketing/advertising mediums can be a very effective tool. However it cannot nor ever will be the panacea that cures all your marketing ails all by itself.

Obama Snubs Iraqi Prime Minister at G7, ISIS Then Taunts

At the recent G7 summit President Obama publicly snubbed the Iraqi prime minister as he leaned over to try and speak with him:

Not long after, the terrorist group ISIS mocked:

Obama Snubs Iraqi Prime Minister at G7, ISIS Then TauntsISIS recently took over the Iraqi town of Ramadi as the government withdrew its forces. ISIS is not only sucking up resources, money, arms, but according the The Independent, enough radioactive material to create a dirty bomb.

What Obama, as the Commander-In-Chief, did to the Iraqi people not only sends the wrong message to our friends and enemies but also creates a dangerous situation for Americans and this nation.

Barack Obama is a disgrace.

Safety in Pool Rules

Pool rules are nothing to take lightly. They’re posted for a reason–to keep everyone safe while swimming. And everyone, in this case, means everyone. Pool safety is not just for children or weak swimmers. The rules apply to adults and experienced swimmers as well.

Pool safety is crucial to preventing accidental drownings. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nearly 3,600 people drowned in 2005. More than 25 percent were children under the age of 14.

Pool safety has two major components: ensuring the safety of the pool area itself and monitoring the swimmers who are using it. Protective devices such as drain covers, locked fences and powered pool covers can help, as can lifeguard certification and CPR training.

Basic Rules
Common pool rules include proper swim attire and supervision of children. Other rules forbid roughhousing and diving (other than in pools designed specifically for diving.) Public pools commonly forbid the use of alcohol and the presence of glass containers near the pool area.

Much pool safety focuses on children, but it is important for adults as well. According to a survey by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, younger people in general have better self-reported swimming ability than older people.

Strong swimmers are safer in a pool, but no one should ever swim alone. Though swimming often is part of recreation and vacation, alcohol and swimming do not mix; alcohol affects balance and response time.
